Chagala was established in 1994 and invested in its first hotel in Atyrau (western Kazakhstan) that was opened in 1995.

Since then, the company has grown significantly and now its investments are not only hotels but short and long-stay serviced apartments, quality office spaces, real estate and residential facilities, restaurants and bars as well as camp facilities where the oil and gas industry is active.

In 2007, Chagala became a publicly traded company when it was accepted for trading on the London Stock Exchange. Since then, Chagala has experienced even greater growth with more expansion plans currently under review.
